This week, we were accepted as a legionary into the Roman army. In, English, we wrote letters to our parents, describing our armour and experience (everyday life, work, training) and expressed our feelings. Our letters were grammatically impressive, full of noun phrases, relative clauses, fronted adverbials and topic specific vocabulary.
In Maths, Year 4s compared and ordered numbers and Year 5s rounded numbers up to 100,000. Maple class pupils also read and interpreted tables.
In Art, we learned about the Anglo-German artist Lucian Freud, discussed about his portraits and shared interesting facts about his life and artwork. We then drew our own portraits of a ‘Boy on a sofa’.
Have a lovely weekend!
