A busy and exciting first week back after half term!

On Monday, we welcomed our Erasmus guests from Poland, Croatia, Italy, Spain and Greece.  We performed for them in assembly and we loved listening to their presentations about their schools and pupils.  The teachers enjoyed seeing our lessons too.

In our lessons this week, we have looked at the journey of Little Amal, who is a 3.5m puppet from Syria, walking 8000km in support of  refugees. We learnt about what home means to us and about important people in our community. We researched well-known people like Rita Ora, Victor Moses, Judith Kerr and Michael Marks (of Marks and Spencer) who were refugees. We also wrote some powerful poems about the the terrifying journey that a refugee is forced to take.

We enjoyed our gymnastics lesson and session in the forest.
