Beech class has been busy!

This week in Beech we have been learning about maps and what they are used for. We looked at aerial photographs and discussed the different features that we could see such as rivers, forests, roads, buildings and fields. We finished the week off by designing our own village using a city map.

In English we wrote our own recounts and worked on developing our ability to edit. The children love using red pens to make changes to their work!

The children have also deepened their understanding of numbers by looks at tens and ones. Some of the children have been adding money together using column addition.
