This week, in English, we finished our class book ‘High Rise Mystery’. We illustrated our own covers and wrote a diary entry using short sentences to build tension; we then used a variety of modal verbs and wrote a persuasive letter.

In R.E. we found out about the events surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. We then created comic strips to remind us of the resurrection of Jesus.

In P.E. on Tuesday, the children used the techniques they have been learning to play a volleyball match.

Then, in P.E. on Thursday, the children used the skills they were taught to play a netball match.

In Computing, the children partnered up and started creating a vlog for you!

Last but not least, eight Year 5 pupils entered the HFL Education Year 5 Mathematics Challenge competition. There were 260 teams this year, from Herts and all over England, both State and Independent Schools. Both our teams entered the final stage and they got the 3rd and 4th places! WOW!

I would like to thank you so much for coming to meet with me on Wednesday and for your ongoing support.
