This week, we read about the trial and execution of Anne Boleyn, as well as her last words, and wrote another newspaper report, using a variety of text features successfully. In Maths, we used our knowledge of equivalent fractions, so that we can compare and order fractions less than 1 and greater than 1.
In Art, we finalised drawing our Tudor roses! We developed ideas through preliminary sketches and experimented with different techniques e.g. sketching, shading, different lines and shapes. They were harder than they looked, but the outcome is beautiful! They now decorate one of the class displays.
In History, we learnt about crimes and punishments. The children used topic specific vocabulary to describe a punishment, gave their views about it and presented it to the class.
In PE, on Tuesday, the children performed actions that develop agility.
On Monday afternoon, Maple class children enjoyed their dance session. They keep on learning essential dance skills and step by step moves, so that they can perform a dance routine.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
