This week, in English, we wrote another chapter called Grandma’s attic. We used long, descriptive sentences and our senses to describe the attic and short sentences as well as repetition to build suspense.
In Maths, we worked on adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. The children persevered, worked hard and achieved their objectives and goals.
In PE, the children worked on various activities to build communication and trust while showing awareness of safety.
In RE, children explored the meaning of the Easter symbols.
In Music we are using the computer to compose a piece of music that we can play along with our song ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ by Bon Jovi. We are exploring note lengths; crotchets, minims, quavers and rests and the notes G A B. Already they are sounding fantastic!
We had a fun time at our Forest session!
This week we celebrated World Book Day. The children created amazing book characters from potatoes! Our school governor, Mr Battle, treated the children to a Roald Dahl story called ‘The Great Mouse Plot’. The children especially enjoyed seeing a real life gob stopper and a Sherbet Fountain!
