A very fishy week

The children  are really  settling down now and getting used to the routines of school once again.  We have been focusing on their wellbeing and relationships with one another, and us,  as they have been reacclimatising themselves to our environments and the rigours of the school day.  The children seem so happy to be back but get very tired by the end of the week! We have also welcomed Keira and Ines into Ash Class and hope that they are going to enjoy their exploring and learning with us.

In our ‘Creatures Big and Creatures Small’ work this week we have been looking, quite literally, and learning about fish. What makes a fish a fish?

We have looked and touched and smelled the sardine, rainbow trout and sea bass and then we drew them while we looked in VERY closely at them.
