A week of arty things.

Art has been the theme in our class all week.

In writing we have been art critics writing about ‘A Sunday on la Grande Jatte’ by Georges Seurat and ‘Persistence of Memory’ by Salvador Dali. It has been interesting to hear about what the children think of these two very different paintings.

Our comprehension this week has based been on Leonardo Da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’. So we have had lots of opportunity to discuss works by different artists.

As well as the skills we practised at the beginning of the week we have had a try at quilling to create some very beautiful Mothering Sunday cards.

Year 5 continued the art theme during their forest session by using natural materials to create paint and sculptures. There’s was lots of creativity and team work to be seen.
