Friday again already?

It has been yet another busy week in the Unit. Ash Class have been working on the sounds s a t p i n and subitising has been going on everywhere. We really are a bunch of story lovers and this week’s favourite story, once again,  has probably been ‘The Smeds and the Smoos’ by Julia Donaldson. We really enjoyed the big apparatus in PE and our fingers have been really busy every morning!

Just a reminder that it is school photos on Monday. These will be slightly restricted due to coronavirus and will be taken with the children standing up. Wednesday afternoon and evening are Parent Consultation Meetings. These will run to a strict timetable – you should all have received your appointment times. We are very much looking forward to seeing you all and updating you on your child’s first half term in The Early Years Unit.

Today you have all received some information on the Tapestry online Learning Journal that we are now using to record your children’s learning. Thank you to those of you who have already returned the signed permissions that are necessary before we can set up all your accounts. We would appreciate all the others being returned on Monday so that the Learning Journals can ‘go live’ and you can all see then before we meet you on Wednesday. It really is an exciting venture for us all!

The children are all getting a little tired now and ready for their half term break – please have a peaceful time this weekend so that we can all enjoy our last few days. School closes at 12:50pm  on Wednesday for the consultations and then at 2:55pm on Thursday until Monday 02 November for the half term break.
