Thank you to each and every one of you for your support this half term.
This half term will be most significantly noted by the joy of having our whole community reunited once again full time, with a renewed focus upon teaching and learning and positive well-being. Significantly, positive well-being is a phrase that has thankfully now been given more recognition within schools – for both staff and pupils. Indeed, it has formed part of our daily vocabulary, in addition to being under the media spotlight and daily news bulletins.
We are delighted to have been able to finish off our first half term with our socially distanced parents’ consultations. It was so lovely to see you all enjoying your children’s books and hearing how they are in class. I heard so many children saying, ‘Did you see what I wrote there?’ and ‘Look at this, this is my best piece!’ We have had so many positive comments back about how safe we had made people feel and how efficient everything was. Of course, all this is thanks to the wonderful hard working staff who made this happen so seamlessly!
On a personal note I want to extend my thanks to the whole school community— these are strange and uncertain times and I have really appreciated the warmth and support of the whole school community as we develop a different way of working. I feel so fortunate to be able to come into work every day and work with such a great team, lovely children and a really supportive parent and governing body. Wishing you all a happy and healthy half term break.
We are looking forward to seeing you on Monday 2nd November. Stay safe and well.
