Learning together!

In Lime class we welcomed parents and carers for our first learning together morning of the school year and it was lovely to see the classroom so full!

The children have been very busy being active in yoga and gymnastics and have been researching and designed Maya pyramids with a bit of help from some interlocking cubes. We hope to start making our models next week.

Maths has been all about adding and subtracting and the children have enjoyed solving problems.  We have written a recount based on a familiar story, putting ourselves in the shoes of one of the characters.

We wrote reports about the beliefs, customs and religion of the Maya and then used ipads to research what everyday life could have been like.  After our research we shared our facts and information with our classmates so that we could become expert historians.

We planned an investigation in Science and are hoping for some sunny days next week to help us carry it out!
