O Captain, My Captain!

Congratulations to our new School Captains, Alfred and Liam, and to our new Vice Captains, Orla and Busby. Many congratulations also to all the candidates who delivered their speeches with confidence and flair! We are proud of you all!

This week in our English lessons, we analysed persuasive speeches and used the features to help us plan and write our own election speeches. At the end of the week, many of us delivered our speeches to the whole school as we stood for the position of School Captain.

In Computing, we have been discussing how important it is to use the internet safely.

We began learning all about the Great Pestilence in the 14th Century. We found out about how the plague spread and learnt about the gruesome symptoms. This learning continued in our Forest session as we made rats out of mud. Thank goodness these rats are not carrying the Bubonic plague!

In Yoga, we learnt a fun new game and enjoyed the ladybird relaxation exercise.

Once again, congratulations to all our School Captain candidates. We are so proud of you all!

Have a great weekend.
