The Sun Has Got His Hat On

What a beautiful week it has been. We have spent lots of time outside making the most of the warm weather.

Continuing with our ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ theme we have been making maps to represent the story. We also took our map making into the forest where we drew maps of where to find some bears we had hidden.

Cheeky Monkey has still been muddling up all of our number cards which is giving us lots of practice of putting them in the correct order. We have also been thinking about the number 10 – playing number bingo and singing ‘There were 10 in the bed’.

We had a special treat on Tuesday when we went to watch Lime Class in their dress rehearsal of ‘Gods and Mortals’. They all did so well and we learnt a lot about Greek myths and legends. We all sat and watched so well, everyone was proud of us too!

This week we have been thinking about money and had a cheeky extra snack if we had the right money to pay for it.

We have also made some cards for some very special people.

As always we have been working hard on our phonics. We have revisited oo, ar, ur, and oo with Ash children and g, o, c and k with the Saplings.
