Triangles, triangles, triangles …

This week we have been finding and making triangles in all sorts of places …

We have also been learning about, and making, repeating patterns.

We found so many books written by Julia Donaldson and have enjoyed sharing them and noticing all the rhymes in them,

We are really enjoying our Phonics lessons (even finding ‘v’s’ in the forest, and are practising our writing in lots of different places – including some rather messy ones!

On Tuesday, it really was ‘Good in the Woods’ as we were able to warm up in the forest with a fire and even toast some marshmallows – it really was ‘Good in the Woods’!

We have also found time to be scientists, exploring liquid, bubbles, pipettes and test tubes, and builders!

Can you please ensure that your children have warm hats, gloves and coats in school, at all times, now that the colder weather has come (and extra layers on Tuesdays and Fridays for Forest School). It is also important that we all adhere to the school dress code of active wear. The children are active and outside everyday – trainers, joggers/leggings and school jumpers should always be worn for the children’s comfort and safety. Long hair should be tied up. Thank you.

The excitement is beginning to build and we would like to invite you all to come to a little

Winter Celebration in the Forest with the Early Years on Friday 17th December @ 9am

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend starting with the Christmas Bazaar!
