We became hungry caterpillars this week as we performed the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. The children did a brilliant job of creating story maps which they then used to help them retell the story in groups. They used actions for each part of the story which helped deepen their awareness of the story’s structure.
The mums of Beech Class joined us this week for Boxercise! Well done for coming in and reminding the children how strong and powerful women are. Thank you for your generous donations as well which have been passed along.
The children looked closely as symmetry as they learned about the migration of Monarchs. They completed their butterflies trying to create a mirror image of the other side. It was interesting for them to do because they thought it would be very simple to do but found that matching the other side was indeed very challenging!
