The children are happily settled back into their school routine once again, filling their days with learning, friendship and fun. Making poppies and then standing with them, quietly listening to the Last Post was a moving moment. The children certainly enjoyed joining in with Joe Wick’s final workout in his 24 hour PE lesson (for Children in Need) this morning!
Thank you for all the comments and observations that you are posting on Tapestry – it really is great for us to be able to hear what the children are doing at home, sometimes opening up ideas for new themes and activities. Please keep your input going – we really do appreciate it.
Can we please reiterate that we need the children’s red reading diaries in school EVERY DAY as we also need to record what and when we hear your child read.
Next week is national Anti-Bullying Week. We take a positive spin on this and call it ‘Friendship Week’. The children are invited to wear odd socks to school on Monday 16th in a celebration of difference. On Friday 20th we are asking the children to wear blue in exchange for a small donation which we will then be sending to the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
