We have lots to catch up with this week!
For International Women’s day Lime class read extracts from Dame Floella Benjamin’s autobiographical book ‘Coming to England’. We learnt about her life and her achievements and agreed that she is a strong woman and a wonderful role model.
This week was British Science week and we squeezed in a bit of Science every day. We discussed what growth meant to us and wrote acrostic poems, leant about the changing states of matter to help us understand the water cycle and finally used the NFU resources to watch a live lesson which expanded on what we already knew about life cycles. We loved seeing the new born lamb and calf in the video.
Our production of ‘Gods and Mortals’ looms closer and we are all so excited, the children are enjoying singing, rehearsing and painting scenery and all say that they can’t wait for you to see the finished article!
Friday was Comic Relief and we all put our hands in our pockets to help the people of the Ukraine. Lime class wore Ukranian colours or sported special badges to show their support.
