We have been busy finding out about Queen Victoria and her family tree. Did you know she had 9 children? She was only 18 years old when she became Queen. What a lot of responsibility at such a young age!
This week, we enjoyed our first Chess lesson of the term. We have some great moves!
With things rather different this year, we decided to make our own Poppy Wreath for Remembrance Sunday. We painted individual poppies using water colours. We talked about the importance of remembering those who served our country in the world wars and subsequent conflicts. Next week, our School Captains will lay our beautiful wreath at the village memorial on our behalf.
In Year 6, we understand the importance of a healthy body and a healthy mind. We had fun this week learning some Hockey skills and we stretched and toned various muscle groups of the body in Gymnastics.
