This week we have welcomed the Saplings into the Early Years. They have quickly made themselves at home and have been enjoying the sunshine while exploring the garden. Learning to be kind and gentle have been the main themes of the week with lots of talking, stories, songs and rhymes. The ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’ song has been a particular hit with all the children.
We have found the Trim and Music Trails, had a great time with Matt in PE and in a dance lesson with Amy and we even met the BFG and the guinea pigs – Cookie and Snowy.
Next week will see us at Forest School on Tuesday and Friday mornings. The children need to wear long sleeves and joggers/leggings in the forest, even if it is warm. We have waterproofs ready for them in school but if it is warm an old long-sleeved T shirt is the best idea. Thank you to everyone who has already brought in wellies but if you haven’t done so they will all need a pair by Tuesday.
