Welcome to the 4th Dimension of Colour…

LIME

Lime were on top form this morning and were mostly excited about the England game. A group decided to set up their own meet and greet with ‘the players’. We had 3 players in attendance; Jude, Harry and Trent, you could pay for a photo and a chat with them! Elsewhere some were more interested in the new Despicable Me film and decided to be minions and put on their own film. Then the knives were very popular again and the enjoyed sharpening their sticks. The (very wet and wind-beaten) shelter was resurrected too.

WILLOW

A slightly smaller Willow class were pleased to get out in the forest (after a brief practice of their show) and made the most of their time. They were straight up in the tree and into the digging zone, which are 2 activities they never seem to tire of.  They also love bug hunting and a few groups of explorers found beetles (which they then tried to feed worms to) while another group tried to save the worms and make their own Worm Nursery (complete with a rock climbing frame). They then found a huge slug called Sluglous…

EYFS

It was an incredibly exciting day to be at Little Hadham, with the Art Exhibition and Colour Run. The little ones were basically bursting at the seams and couldn’t stop jumping up and down. They were each given a pair of special glasses to help them see the world in brighter more vivid ways. Lots of them were swapping between the blue and red lenses and pretending to be sad and then angry, which was very funny. They also watched the field being prepared for the colour run and were entranced by the flurry of activity!

BEECH

Beech were also made up to have their special glasses to see the world. They used them more to check out bugs and also thought that the blue lens made everything look sad and the red lens made everything angry! The trees were very busy and they split he class up into 4 groups to take it in turns to climb. Some then made a small fire pit in the middle of the forest and they imagined what colours would appear. They also enjoyed posing with their glasses as if they were fashion models!

MAPLE

Maple could barely contain their excitement for the colour run and art exhibition. By this point, it was a miracle that no one was floating off into the sky… Luckily, they managed to muster up the strength to make the best version of their shelter by far! They used 5 tarps and all of their forest knowledge to build an incredible campsite. In the digging zone a crew were astonished to find that 4 orange cricket balls had been buried. They chatted about how many years they could have been buried for!
