LIME
Lime class were relieved not to have to wear full waterproofs today and they put the extra forest time to good use. A strange discovery was found and lots of people gathered and wondered why there were so many new holes under the shed. Some thought it was mice and others though it could be rabbits. The digging zone had some new steps carved into the mud to help you get in and out of the hole safely. There was also a game where everyone was a millionaire and people were boasting about their Lamborghinis, while one person had a Skoda!
WILLOW
The Willow class children were very excited to see what the forest has left them…lots of sweet chestnuts! Various groups of children were exploring the shells and investigating what was inside them. It was difficult to prise them open because they were so spikey! Elsewhere, the Avoongers were training in the forest. Spooder Man, The Bulk, Stone Man and Captain England were saving the day. The digging zone was full of activity too, as one group were making…’The Pile’ which was a heap of mud they began worshipping.
EYFS
The littlest adventurers in the school were treated to their first ever game of ‘1, 2, 3 Where Are You?’ today and had the best time! They all found great hiding spaces and waited patiently until they were found and then stuck together like a great team of fish finders until everyone was discovered. Once they got busy they were so excited to get climbing in the tree and every inch was explored. They also enjoyed finding heaps of dragon eggs (conkers) and piling them up.
BEECH
Beech class were also pleased that the weather meant that they could climb the tree and took turns really well. The conkers were a huge source of excitement for them too and lots of groups worked to collect as many as they good – lining their pockets and filling buckets. One team made conker mash which consisted of soaking conkers and then a leaf mash on top of a baking tray, it was delicious! The digging zone was very popular and the blue barrels in the loose parts zone were rolling around too.
MAPLE
Word that the forest was full of conkers had spread at lunch time and the Maple class children were pleased to find them too. They decided to make some doughnut shops, which grew and grew until most of the class had visited them. Some even became different characters to order again! It was also someone’s birthday, so naturally he became the King and had some body guards bringing him anything he wanted. The barrels were also lined up and people were chilling out in them.
