Come Fly with me!

LIME

Cheese was the name of the game in Lime this week! Well over half of the class banded together and began chipping away at logs and taking the shavings to turn into cheese. They’d then supply the other groups with as much cheese as they wanted (for a price) and go to chop some more up! For the last few weeks, a small white sphere could be seen under the fence by the stream. Today was the day that they worked really hard to fish it back up and it turned out to be a plastic egg! It was hedgehog day this week and some mud hedgehogs were made too!

WILLOW

Now that Willow Class were finished with their captivating game of Traitors, they were back to some of the more classic forest activities. Some went back to the trick shot competition and aimed tennis balls into the upturned cone. Some swung happily on the hammock, while a group made the den of ‘ooga booga’ and seemed to be cavemen for a portion of the session. Another very cute mini hedgehog was created using the shell of a sweet chestnut, a clump of mud and some very well placed stick eyes. She was named Patricia the Hedgehog.

EYFS

Bing bong! The forest was a big muddy mess, but luckily Ash and Saplings had something else up their sleeves. They needed a holiday, so they packed up their bags with; sun cream, sunglasses and a real motorbike. However, they got to passport control and didn’t have any! So they had to quickly colour in some blank passports by drawing themselves, the places they’d been and of course write their names. Once on the plane, they flew around the playground before landing and splishing around in every puddle they could find.

BEECH

Beech class also found a ticket for a holiday! Their ticket took them to Pud El Land, a tropical paradise where the sun always shines and the beaches are covered in perfect golden sand as far as the eye can see. They got filling in their passports (which they loved) and then got ready for the flight. They flew around the playground but there was a problem with the sat nav and instead of Pud El Land, they actually flew to Puddleland! They splashed around in the playground and had the best time ever, even if they didn’t get to go to the beach!

MAPLE

Maple probably wouldn’t have enjoyed going on holiday as much as the younger members of the school, so instead their games skills were put to the test. Their resiliency was the first thing on trial, in a game called ‘Amoeba – Game of Thrones’ where every time you lose, you go back down to the bottom of the evolution chain and only one person is on the throne at the end of the time. Next their speed and reaction skills were put to good use in ‘Cut the Cake’. Finally they played ‘Monkey Ball’ which more just tests your lower back as it involves a lot of hunching over!
