A fun filled end to an incredible year

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sophie’s mother, who came in to give a fascinating talk about South Africa, focusing particularly on Simon’s Town. She shared captivating photos and videos that brought the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of South Africa to life for the children. One of the highlights of her talk was the intriguing stories about the local baboons. The children were both amazed and amused to hear about these clever creatures that will eat almost anything and have even been known to steal food! It was an educational and entertaining experience that everyone enjoyed immensely.

In another exciting event, we were lucky enough to be treated to a musical theatre show. What made this performance truly special was that the audience members were also participants! Some of our children got the chance to wear costumes and even had lines to deliver. This interactive experience not only entertained but also gave the children a taste of the performing arts, allowing them to showcase their creativity and confidence on stage.

Sports Day was another highlight of our term, showcasing the vast array of talent within our class. The children participated in various events, demonstrating their athletic abilities and sportsmanship. It was a day filled with excitement, cheering, and a wonderful sense of community as everyone supported each other and celebrated their achievements.

To wrap up an incredible year, we had a party on the final day that thrilled all the children. It was a fantastic way to celebrate their hard work and the friendships they have formed. The party was filled with laughter, games, and dancing.

This year’s Beech class has been great fun, fully engaged in their learning, and an absolute pleasure to teach. They have also kept us on our toes with their energy and curiosity! We will miss the year twos dearly and wish them all the best as they move into Lime. We have told them not to stop smiling at us and saying hello in the corridors! As for the year ones, we look forward to seeing you as the new year twos. Have a wonderful summer, everyone!
