LIME
Lime Class were full of excitement about completely different things today! A group started their own Eurovision band and made musical instruments out of sticks and sang a bunch of incredible songs including the Swedish and Estonian entries. A group became an artefact shop and those in the digging zone were supplying them with a range of excellent things that they then showed off to people who paid to visit them. You could also pay 2 green leaves and get food from a shop that popped up behind the shed, with the gloopiest mud you’d ever seen.
EYFS
It was learning together morning and the youngest adventurers in the school were thrilled to be able to show their grown-ups around. Hands were being dragged from one thing to the next with cries of ‘come and see this!’. It was lovely to see the children so proud to show off what they love about forest and their grown-ups enjoying being a part of it. Once the forest was an adult free zone, they carried on playing games and climbing. They’re really enjoying hide and seek still and about half the class were hiding at one point.
BEECH
Crazy hair was obviously the main theme of the day and lots of freshly cut leafy branches were used to give the stumps a brand new hair-do! String was tied around a stump and then sticks were wedged in giving a great spikey hair effect. Elsewhere a doughnut shop (celebrating doughnut day) began crafting small circles to hand out to people. A very giggly crew turn the rope swing into a pulley system to help people swing even higher but then began tying people to the tree in the process, while a balance beam also kept people on their toes.
MAPLE
Crazy hair was still on the menu for Maple class and a few of them had added bits of forest to their look!
The main thing on the cards for Maple was becoming Millionaire’s. They started some businesses to try and make money and there was a lot of bartering and leaf hunting going on. One group immediately became raiders and hatched a plan to steal some money! They also said a heartfelt goodbye to the baby Blue Tits, as their chirps have got so loud, that they probably won’t be in the bird house when the children return after half term.
