As the summer holidays approach, we’ve been taking time this week to look back on what has been a truly wonderful year in Beech Class — full of learning, laughter, and special memories. We’re so proud of all the children and everything they’ve achieved!
This final week has been packed with fun. We made the most of the warm weather with some exciting outdoor water activities, which were a huge hit! From splashing and pouring to creating imaginative water games, the children were in their element. But it wasn’t just fun we also took time to talk about water safety, an important topic as many families head off to beaches, pools, and lakes over the summer. The children learned about the importance of staying where an adult can see them, wearing floatation devices when needed, and knowing who to go to for help. They asked great questions and shared their own water safety tips — showing how engaged and thoughtful they are.
One of the real highlights of our week was the fantastic theatre production of The Jungle Book, which came to our school hall. The show was colourful, musical, and full of energy. The children were completely captivated. Best of all, the production was highly interactive, with some very brave members of Beech Class joining the actors on stage to sing, dance, and even act out scenes alongside Baloo and Mowgli. It was a magical experience that brought literature to life and left the children buzzing with excitement.
We also had a brilliant Sports Day full of teamwork, perseverance, and plenty of cheering! The children showed fantastic team spirit, determination, and enthusiasm in every race and activity. It was lovely to see so many families there supporting and celebrating the children’s efforts. Thank you for making it such a memorable day.
And to finish it all off, we celebrated in style with our end-of-term party! The hall was filled with music, dancing, and games. It was a joyful way to mark the end of term and the incredible progress all the children have made.
As we look ahead, we’re so excited to welcome our lovely Year One children back in September, as they continue their journey with us into Year Two. It’s such a privilege to be part of their learning and growth, and we can’t wait to see what new adventures lie ahead for them.
To our wonderful Year Two children, we say a very fond farewell. You’ve been role models, friends, and fantastic learners and we know you will go on to shine even more brightly in your new class. We’ll miss your smiles, your stories, and your spirit, but we know you’re more than ready for the next step.
