Exploring sound and programming robots

Lime class have been busy exploring perimeter in Maths by creating  different sized shapes out of paper squares. Then we moved onto multiplication where we learnt how to multiply a two digit number by a one digit number.

in English we finished publishing our fantastic Haikus which are now proudly displayed – please come and take a look. Then we moved on to reading, writing and researching biographies.

Science is still all about exploring sound and we have learnt how the human ear works.  We made musical instruments from classroom resources and tried to find out how to change the pitch and volume.

Our history lessons have had us exploring Indus valley cities and learning about trade in this ancient world.

Computing has been all about controlling robots. we learnt how to play with the ‘lightbot’ on line and then we applied this to a real situation where we created, tested and debugged algorithms using a toy car on a grid.

In PHSE we learned to be super searchers on the internet by playing a true or false game and we showed that we are very aware of the risks involved in not being vigilant on line.

We produced some amazing self portraits in art – we will be displaying them soon so watch out!
