Jingle all the Way

LIME

The Little Hadham’s Got Talent extravaganza is just a week today, so the hopeful entrants were using their forest time to refine their skills! There were heaps of jokes (using pots and sticks for the classic ba-dum tss) sound effect, a game show with tricky questions and a whole lot of K-Pop Demon Hunters singing and dancing – with some incredible moves! The trees were climbed after a couple of weeks of being out of bounds, so they were very happy to do so and everyone shared the rope swing fantastically.

WILLOW

Willow were having their talent show auditions after forest, so there were lots of busy participants in every corner of the forest with pieces of paper in hand or showing off their best moves. For quite a few who weren’t showcasing their skills, the trick shot competition from last week sparked up again with ferocious intensity and a lot of resilience! Believe it or not one tennis ball managed to find its way into the traffic cone which caused raucous celebrations and a chorus of hysteria! A very cool mud/stick skate park was also made.

EYFS

Early years were tasked with making a track to help guide Santa around the forest. They lined up sticks and managed to get him from the mushrooms and around some trees with out it breaking the chain, so that he could deliver presents to everyone! They then stayed in the stick moving mood and moved sticks creating to big piles. They carried the sticks carefully made sure to help anyone who looked like they needed some help. A small group wanted to play ‘Bad Guys’ but they all wanted to be police officers, so they officers had a pretty relaxing day!

BEECH

Beech were feeling Christmassy and a large group spent their session improving on a Christmas tree that they had built in forest club. A group that started digging a hole looking for fossils last week returned and were joined by a group who tried to collect all the leaves in the forest! The trees were climbed tremendously and a Gingerbread house was created by some Gingerbread men. A slide was made in the digging zone and lots of mud has been shifted now they weather has made the mud extra squishy.

MAPLE

Maple were stuck coming into the forest in the rain by the time the afternoon came around but they put their waterproofs on and came out without too much fuss! A fantastic cafe was created that sold all sorts of chocolatey drinks and a lot of pastries too (in aid of Pastry Day which was this week according to nationaltoday.com).  Elsewhere, the digging zone was very busy and a group of Ommpa Loompa’s were roaming the forest in search of some delicious treats. A cool bow and arrow was also made!
