The Red Robin Returns!

LIME

It was mini golf day on Saturday, so the majority of Lime Class spent the session creating numerous different courses for people to try out. One team spent a very long time sweeping their course, so it looked like carpet while the other focused on making it as difficult as possible. Then once they were happy, everyone took turns seeing who could play in the fewest shots. They were holding out hope for a hole in one but alas, it never came. Elsewhere, 2 enormous stag beetles were found under a stump and everyone was very excited guessing what they could be.

WILLOW

Willow are running out of forest sessions at Little Hadham and the greatest hits of forest seem to be beginning. Today someone remembered that their favourite game used to be Eagle Eye. Well over half the class were hiding in every nook and cranny of the forest and loving every minute – just as they did in Beech class. Something else making a comeback is the Red Robin 2.0! Their pub is being rebuilt on the same site but it seems to be much sturdier this time. The Lava Chicken crew are also still making their gloopy Minecraft food!

EYFS

Mrs Webb had some excellent challenges for Ash and Saplings this morning and the children more than rose to the occasion! They all went and found a stick in the forest and began writing their name in the dirt, then for an extra challenge the wrote as many letters of the alphabet as they could as quick as their little fingers could go. Some paint brushes were brought out and they had to stretch up high to see who could paint the highest mark on the fence. Finally, the balance beam made an appearance and they held their arms out like gymnasts without falling off.

BEECH

Most of Beech class were still hung up on Star Wars Day! About half the class were joining a galactic battle across the stars flying in space ships to try and take on the bad guys, while the bad guys were trying to make sure they didn’t let the Jedi win straight away. The hammock was incredibly popular too and lots of giggles could be heard as it swung happily. The tree was climbed lots too as children pushed their boundaries to reach higher heights (one or two might have needed a little help down!). Also a phenomenal time machine structure was built.

MAPLE

Maple are very excited about their Greek show coming up next week and there were a whole host of Greek Gods roaming the forest and trying to impose their will! A couple of Greek Plays were put on too, one was a tragedy full of fighting Gods and the other was a Comedy about Hades trying to stop Spring from coming. Some stinging nettle patrollers were wreaking havoc to any stinging nettle that dared look in their direction and they even had string harnesses to help pull logs out of the way. A scientific crew were playing with water too.
